To ask for a visa to Brazil, one must fill up the form at the website:

Send the form online, print the receipt and bring it to the Embassy with photo and documents.

 9-VISA - VOLUNTARY WORK

 

 

REGULATIONS

  • Foreigners traveling to Brazil to do voluntary work require this type of visa. This category only covers activities undertaken on behalf of charitable organizations and these activities must not constitute employment of any form, paid or unpaid, with or without contract.

  • Passport should be valid for at least six months.

  • Applicants must have lived in  Saudi Arabia or Yemen  for at least one year prior to the visa application.

  • First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.

  • Registration with the DPMAF within 30 days of arrival in Brazil. (For this purpose, make sure you take the second copy of your application form which will be returned to you duly stamped by this consulate).

  • Passport should be valid for at least six months. Applicants must have lived in  Saudi Arabia or Yemen for at least one year prior to the visa application.

  • Registration with the Brazilian Immigration Authorities (DPMAF) within 30 days of arrival in Brazil. (For this purpose, make sure you take the second copy of your application form which will be returned to you duly stamped by this Embassy).

REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION

All the required documents listed below will be forwarded to the relevant authorities in Brazil:

  • Photocopy of the relevant pages of passport, authenticated by the Consular Sector (the Embassy reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

  • Three application forms, completed and signed by the applicant.

  • Three passport-size photographs.

  • Certificate of Good Behavior or equivalent document must be presented. This certificate may be requested at any Police Station in Saudi Arabia or Yemen.  Note that it may take up to six weeks for the document to be issued.

  • Letter of invitation from the Brazilian institution, certified by a notary in Brazil (Cartório).

  • Document giving details of work place and type of activities to be carried out by the applicant, certified by a notary in Brazil (Cartório).

  • An undertaking in writing from the Brazilian institution assuming full responsibility for the maintenance of the applicant while in Brazil and for his/her return to the country of origin.

  • Health insurance valid throughout Brazil, authenticated photocopy by this Embassy.

  • Constitution of the Brazilian institution, i.e. social statutes, articles of association, appointment act or nomination of the current board of directors and proof of registration with the respective National, State, Federal District of Municipal Social Welfare Council (authenticated photocopies of current documents).

  • Proof that the Brazilian Institution is fully functional, authenticated photocopy.

  • Certificate of vaccination, if necessary (see enclosed information).

CONSULAR FEES AND PROCESSING TIME

  • All consular fees should be paid after you get the approval from the consular section at Samba bank, using a slip supplied by the Embassy.

  • Please note that this Embassy does not provide an express service

  • The Processing time is: 10 working days.

Applications made in person

  • The consular fee is SR 270.00 and processing time is a minimum of eight weeks.

Application via courier or travel agent

  • An additional fee of SR 90.00 will be charged and processing time may take a minimum of eightworking day.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

  • In times of heavy workload waiting times will increase. Therefore, do not leave your application to the last minute and do not commit yourself to travel plans until you know when your visa will be issued.

  • General conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Incomplete documentation will be returned.
