Open to the public: From 10:00 to 12:00, Saturday through Wednesday, except holidays.
To ask for a visa to Brazil, one must fill up the form at the website:

Send the form online, print the receipt and bring it to the Embassy with photo and documents.

3-VISA - JOURNALISTS, TV AND FILMING CREWS

REGULATIONS

Foreigners traveling to Brazil as journalists (non correspondents), TV and filming crews require this type of visa.

When carrying professional equipment, however, nationals of the countries above are recommended to obtain a visa under this category. This is to facilitate procedures with Brazilian Customs for the temporary importation of that equipment into Brazil.

Please note that commercial, publicity and documentary filming in Brazil requires the participation of a Brazilian co-producer. (Contact the Brazilian Embassy for a list of the Brazilian co-producers). The Brazilian co-producer will submit the application for the filming to the “Secretaria para o Desenvolvimento do Audiovisual”.

Passport should be valid for at least six months.

First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION

Passport (the Embassy reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

One application form, completed and signed by the applicant.

One passport-size photograph.

A letter from the company or institution to which the applicant is linked.

Authorization from the “Secretaria para o Desenvolvimento do Audiovisual do Ministério da Cultura”, applicable only to commercial, publicity and documentary filming.

Certificate of vaccination, if necessary (see enclosed information).
CONSULAR FEES AND PROCESSING TIME

All consular fees should be paid in cash at the Saudi American Bank- Diplomatic Quarter Branch, using a slip supplied by the Embassy.

Please note that this Embassy does not provide an express service.

US citizens are subject to an additional fee of SR 585.00 on a reciprocity basis.

An additional fee of SR 90.00 will be charged if application is via post.

This fee does not cover the posting of documents. For this purpose, a Special Delivery or Guaranteed Delivery, self-addressed pre-paid envelope must be enclosed.

Processing time may take a minimum of 12 working days.
OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

In times of heavy workload waiting times will increase. Therefore, do not leave your application to the last minute and do not commit yourself to travel plans until you know when your visa will be issued.
