Open to the public: From 10:00 to 12:00, Saturday through Wednesday, except holidays.
To ask for a visa to Brazil, one must fill up the form at the website:

Send the form online, print the receipt and bring it to the Embassy with photo and documents.

REGULATIONS

Permanent visa may be granted to legal dependants of a Brazilian national or of an alien holding permanent resident status in Brazil.

In case of name change due to marriage, passport must be amended accordingly.

Passport should be valid for at least six months.

First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION
From the applicant

Passport (the Consulate reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

Photocopy of the identifying pages of the passport authenticated by the Embassy.

Three application forms, completed and signed by the applicant.

Three passport-size photographs.

Certificate of Good Behaviors or equivalent document must be presented. This certificate may be requested at any Police Station in Saudi Arabia or Yemen. Note that it may take up to six weeks for the document to be issued.

Marriage certificate: if one of the spouses is a Brazilian national and the marriage certificate was issued in Saudi Arabia or Yemen, it will have to be registered before hand at this Embassy; if issued in Brazil, an authenticated photocopy will be required.

In case of minors from divorced parents, a court order of custody must be produced.

Birth certificate (long form) of the children legalized by this Embassy, with an authenticated photocopy.

Certificate of vaccination, if necessary (see information enclosed).

Most documents submitted will have to be legalized by this Embassy, or authenticated photocopies will have to be taken. You will be duly instructed when lodging these documents.
From the Brazilian spouse or permanent resident in Brazil

Authenticated photocopy of the Brazilian identification card.

Term of responsibility (model enclosed), with witnessed signature. The Embassy can witness signatures of Brazilian nationals upon presentation of their passport and permanent residents of Brazil upon presentation of their passport and RNE card. In both cases the applicant must attend this Consulate in person. Foreigners not resident in Brazil must have their signatures witnessed by a Notary Public.
CONSULAR FEES AND PROCESSING TIME

All consular fees should be paid in cash at the Samba Bank- Diplomatic Quarter Branch, using a slip supplied by the Embassy.

The consular fee for a permanent visa is SR 900.00

US nationals are subject to an additional fee of SR 585.00, on a reciprocity basis.

Processing time is a minimum of eight weeks, for couples married for less than 5 years, and one week for couples married for more than 5 years.
OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

Holders of permanent visas for Brazil are exempt from paying import duty on their personal and household goods as well as professional equipment, so long as the belongings arrive in Brazil no earlier than three months and no later than six months from the date of the traveller's arrival in the country. In times of heavy workload waiting times will increase. Therefore, do not leave your application to the last minute and do not commit yourself to travel plans until you know when your visa will be issued.
