Send the form online, print the receipt and bring it to the Embassy with photo and documents.

6-VISA - STUDENT

REGULATIONS

  • Foreigners traveling to Brazil to attend graduation or post-graduation courses - including theological and technical studies - require a student visa.

  • Nationals of the following countries are visa exempted when traveling to Brazil, if their stay does not exceed 90 days: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Morocco, The Netherlands, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, The Philippines, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom,� Uruguay and Venezuela.

  • Passport should be valid for at least six months. First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.

  • Applicants must have lived in Saudi Arabia or Yemen for at least one year prior to the visa application.

  • Length of stay in Brazil can be of one year, extendible at the discretion of the Brazilian Immigration Authorities (DPMAF)

  • Registration with the Brazilian Immigration Authorities (DPMAF) should be made within 30 days of arrival in Brazil. For this purpose, make sure to take the second copy of the application form which will be returned to you duly stamped by this Embassy.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION

  • Passport (the Embassy reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

  • Two application forms, completed and signed by the applicant.

  • Two passport-size photographs.

  • Certificate of Good Behavior or equivalent document must be presented. This certificate may be requested at any Police Station in Saudi Arabia or Yemen. Note that it may take up to six weeks for the document to be issued.

  • Letter from the Brazilian educational institution confirming acceptance or a place and duration of course.

  • Proof of financial means during the stay in Brazil (It is illegal for the holder of a student visa to work in Brazil).

  • Certificate of vaccination, if necessary (see enclosed information).

CONSULAR FEES AND PROCESSING TIME

  • All consular fees should be paid in cash at the Saudi Hollandi Bank- Diplomatic Quarter Branch, using a slip supplied by the Embassy.

  • Please note that this Embassy does not provide an express service.

  • US nationals are subject to an additional fee of SR 585.00, on a reciprocity basis.

  • Nationals from certain countries require consultation with the Brazilian Ministry of External Relations, prior to the issuing of their visas. In these cases an extra fee of SR 135.00 will apply. Processing time is a minimum of 15 days.

Application made in person

  • The consular fee is SR 180.00

  • Processing time may take a minimum of 10 working days.

Application via courier or travel agent or post

  • An additional fee of SR 90.00 will be charged.

  • This fee does not cover the posting of documents. For this purpose, a Special Delivery or Guaranteed Delivery, self-addressed pre-paid envelope must be enclosed.

  • Please allow at least 12 working days for postal

  • applications.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

  • In times of heavy workload waiting times will increase. Therefore, do not leave your application to the last minute and do not commit yourself to travel plans until you know when your visa will be issued.  

  • General conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Incomplete documentation will  be returned.
