Send the form online, print the receipt and bring it to the Embassy with photo and documents.

7-VISA - TEMPORARY WORK TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

REGULATIONS

  • Foreigners traveling to Brazil to work under a contract require either a temporary work visa or a technical assistance visa. Please note that it is the employer�s duty to carry out all formalities at the Ministry of Labor and Employment in Brazil for the contract�s approval. Work visas can only be issued once this Embassy has received authorization from Brazil. Technical assistance visas are issued for a maximum stay of ninety days.

  • Passport should be valid for at least six months.

  • First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.

  • Applicants must have lived in Saudi Arabia or Yemen for at least one year prior to the visa application.

  • Registration with the Brazilian Immigration Authorities (DPMAF) should be made within 30 days of arrival in Brazil. For this purpose, make sure to take the second copy of the application form which will be returned to you duly stamped by this Embassy.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION

  • Passport (the Embassy reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

  • Two application forms, completed and signed by the applicant.

  • Two passport-size photographs.

  • Certificate of Good Behavior or equivalent document must be presented. This certificate may be requested at any Police Station in Saudi Arabia or Yemen. Note that it may take up to six weeks for the document to be issued.

  • Certificate of vaccination, if necessary (see enclosed information).

CONSULAR FEES AND PROCESSING TIME

  • All consular fees should be paid in cash at the Saudi American Bank- Diplomatic Quarter Branch, using a slip supplied by the Embassy.

  • Please note that this Embassy does not provide an express service.

  • US nationals are subject to an additional fee of SR 585.00, on a reciprocity basis.

Application made in person

  • The consular fee is SR 585.00

  • Processing time may take  a minimum of five working days.

Application made by courier or travel agent and post

  • An additional fee of SR 90.00 will be charged.

  • This fee does not cover posting of documents. For this purpose, a Special Delivery or Guaranteed Delivery, self-addressed pre-paid envelope must be enclosed.

  • Processing time may take  a minimum of five working days.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

  • In times of heavy workload waiting times will increase. Therefore, do not leave your application to the last minute and do not commit yourself to travel plans until you know when your visa will be issued.

  • General conditions are subject to change without prior notice.�

  • Incomplete documentation will be returned.
