Removal of chemical weapons from Syria
The Brazilian Government congratulates the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons(OPCW) for the removal of the last shipment of chemical weapons as declared by the Arab Republic of Syria in its territory.
The Brazilian Government reiterates its hopes that the successful implementation of measures related to the elimination of Syria’s chemical weapons will contribute to give a new impetus in the search for a negotiated solution to the conflict in that country and to meet the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian society.

Remoção das armas químicas da Síria
O Governo brasileiro congratula-se com a Organização para a Proibição de Armas Químicas (OPAQ) pela remoção do último carregamento de armas químicas declaradas pela República Árabe da Síria de seu território.
O Governo brasileiro reitera a expectativa de que a implementação exitosa das medidas relacionadas à eliminação das armas químicas sírias contribua para emprestar novo vigor à busca de uma solução negociada para o conflito naquele país e para atender às legítimas aspirações da sociedade síria.
