To ask for a visa to Brazil, one must fill up the form at the website:

4-VISA - STUDENT TRAINEE
REGULATIONS

Foreigners traveling to Brazil as student trainees require this type of visa.

Passport should be valid for at least six months.

First entry into Brazil must be made within 90 days from the date the visa is issued. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make sure the application is lodged accordingly.

Applicants must have lived in the Saudi Arabia, Oman or Yemen for at least one year prior to the visa application.

Length of stay in Brazil can be up to 1 year, not extendable.

Registration with the Brazilian Immigration Authorities (DPMAF) must take place within 30 days of arrival in Brazil. For this purpose, make sure to take the second copy of the application form duly stamped by this Embassy..
REQUIREMENTS FOR A VISA APPLICATION

Passport (The Embassy reserves the right not to endorse soiled, damaged or defaced passports).

Two application forms completed and signed by the applicant.

Two passport-size photographs.

Certificate of GoodBehavior or equivalent document must be presented. This certificate may be requested at any Police Station in Saudi Arabia, Oman or Yemen. Note that it may take up to six weeks for the document to be issued.

Proof of financial means for the duration of the stay in Brazil. Please be advised that it is illegal for the holder of this category of visa to receive a salary from a Brazilian source. However, travel, accommodation and out of pocket expenses allowances are permitted.

Written confirmation of the applicant’s acceptance by the Brazilian institution or company.

A letter of introduction from a recognized student exchange institution (eg IAESTE, AIESEC), or an international co-operation organization, or international co-operation department of Brazilian Ministries.

Certificate of vaccination, if necessary (see information enclosed).
CONSULAR FEES AND PROCESSING TIME

All consular fees should be paid in cash at the Saudi American Bank- Diplomatic Quarter Branch, using a slip supplied by the Embassy.

US nationals are subject to an additional fee of SR 450.00, on a reciprocity basis.

Nationals from certain countries require consultation with the Brazilian Ministry of External Relations, prior to the issuing of their visas. In these cases, an extra fee of SR 112.50 will apply and processing time may take a minimum of fifteen working days.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION

In times of heavy workload waiting times will increase. Therefore, do not leave your application to the last minute and do not commit yourself to travel plans until you know when your visa will be issued.
